Bill's off to the breakers! :)
Well, Bill has left home for a month or so.........
Because he knows Craig and I as 'mum and dad'..... we have sent him off to a friend who is brilliant at breaking in horses....... but doesnt want to do 'outside' ones - just his own.... so we are pretty darn lucky there!!!
We want him to get experience with someone other than us, and in an environment other than 'home'....
When hes finished, Craig will continue riding him and he will be going to some Team Penning days at every given opportunity.
Our baby boy has grown up!!!!

Well, the boy is going REALLY well by all accounts!!
Trent has been on him already - he got on him on Friday.... and he was apparently pretty good....
He apparently has a lovely soft mouth, is very responsive, very smart (well we knew he was smart already!! lol) and is picking everything up pretty well....
He was trying to talk to the horses in the yards next to the round yard down there so Grant had to stand there and he got growled at every time he came past and wanted to stop and talk.... he quickly learnt that he had to keep his mind on the job!
Trent is really pleased with how he carries himself and reckons if he doesnt do well at dressage with his natrual self carriage and movement, then he doesnt know what will do well at dressage!!!
REALLY looking forward to heading down there sometime in the next week or so and watching a session and getting some pics
Its exciting and scarey at the same time to think that our 'baby boy' is growing up and that Craig will soon be out riding him around!!

Hehehe Ritchie - I reckon he would cross real well!!
Ifn ya is willing to travel, Im sure we can do you a discount on his service fee! We are actually just about to raise the boys service fees a bit - but that now covers agistment for the mare as well

Re: Bill's off to the breakers! :)
Thanks guys, we are REALLY Pleased with how he is coming up...............
Forgot to say, Trent who is on him, is 6 ft 8.......... so hes TALL........ makes Billy Boy look like a pony.........but hes 16.1hh.........
Yep Craig wants to do some team penning on him to get his brain thinking, but we are going to have him educated with some Dressage (and going to talk Eswot into competing him in Dressage for us! nudge nudge.....) and then in a couple of years (dont want to start jumping him over anything serious til hes at least 6 yrs old - Craig might do some up to 60cm stuff just playing and getting him going over some little grids in 12 months time or so) get a showjumper to take him on for a while.............
