As the title suggests......
I need to weigh up the pros and cons
I've seriously lost my passion and feel very deflated.

Before giving them up for good can you lease your horses to someone. Give yourself a bit of a break from them so you can decide fully what you want to do?
I gave up horses for around 4-5 years after school, just got back in around 2-3 years ago. Bloody glad I did because the horse I wanted to ride before I gave up is now mine (to ride) and she is the most rewarding horse to ride

I think my days of throwing a leg over are gone.
I doubt anyone would want to lease me two shitties.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm tough one..........
I cant ride any more due to my back, my shoulder, my yellow wiggles disease etc.......... but I still enjoy our horses from the ground..........
I am DYING to get back on a horse, but the pain and the passing out and therefore the danger involved is just not worth it........
What do you use your shetties for now? Harness? Showing in hand? Cuddles?
I was going to suggest finding some agistment and turning them out - but Shetties have a habit of exploding when you do that to them........ so probably not the wisest of moves.........
So do you think you want out of horses altogether, or just for a couple of years for a break???
