Just want some ideas guys.

I can't afford 2 horses atm. I am struggling to just keep them in the paddock and fed, shoed and the like.

BUT I really don;'t wanna sell my youngster. I don't want the money that I would get from selling him. It's more abou the saving of feed, breaking in and the like.

In about a year I expect to be in a much better financial position.

My question is - can you lease youngsters out? then get them back in 2 - 3 yrs? I would have thought that it would ...

Not long to go now!

First one for the season is due on the 31st August Thats Rossida, a gorgeous grey mare we have on loan from Allen Park Stud (breeders and owners of Allen Park Bald Eagle who we used quite a bit!), which we are MOST appreciative of, and we cant wait.......

Shes in foal to Bill...

Sida is such a sweetie, and loves a cuddle......

She will be closely followed by Kaysand Kinda Cute - the welsh/arabian/riding pony mare, also in foal to Bill, shes due September ...

Well, Bill has left home for a month or so.........

Because he knows Craig and I as 'mum and dad'..... we have sent him off to a friend who is brilliant at breaking in horses....... but doesnt want to do 'outside' ones - just his own.... so we are pretty darn lucky there!!!

We want him to get experience with someone other than us, and in an environment other than 'home'....

When hes finished, Craig will continue riding him and he will be going to some Team Penning days at every ...

I really wish it were called something a little more glorious sounding.

Ive been having lessons with a dressage instructor, Im onto lesson 5 I think. Last lesson we did an intense session in the roundyard just working on getting her off my leg. Today, I asked for a leg yield out on a trail ride and OMG, it was straight, it was calm we went dancing sideways across the paddock and it felt awesome!!!

Just have to share.
